How big a unit do you need?
If you're a single soldier or a small family, a 10×10 at our Cache Road location is a safe starting point. That's about a one-bedroom apartment's worth of stuff with room to walk in. If you're moving a full house, go up to a 10×15. Not sure? Pick the next size up. It's cheaper than two trips with a U-Haul.
For a PCS, we usually point folks toward climate-controlled. Lawton summers get hot, and electronics, leather, photo albums, and important paperwork don't love sitting in a metal box that bakes all afternoon. If it'll be a quick stay in mild weather and you're storing tools or yard stuff, a regular drive-up unit is fine.

It fits the usual PCS load, keeps the temperature steady, and Cache Road is an easy drive from the north and east sides of post. If you've got more than a one-bedroom's worth, jump up to a 10×15. Vehicles and trailers should head to our 37th Street location instead.

Cache Road is just off NW Cache Rd, so it's quick from the north and east. 37th Street is on the south side, which is faster from south Lawton and Highway 62. Cache Road has climate-controlled and drive-up. 37th Street has drive-up and outdoor parking for vehicles. Pick the one that fits what you're storing.

When should I rent the unit?
Two to four weeks before the movers come is the sweet spot. If you're PCSing in summer, book earlier — May through August is our busiest stretch.
Can I set everything up before I get to Lawton?
Yes. You can sign the lease, set up autopay, and get your gate code online. The unit is ready when you pull in.
What if my orders change?
No problem. The lease is month-to-month. If something changes, you give notice and close the account. No penalty.
Will my stuff be safe sitting there for weeks?
Yes. You put your own lock on the unit. The gates are coded. The property is monitored. Climate-controlled units also keep the temperature steady so nothing bakes in the Oklahoma sun.
Can I drive right up to a unit for heavy stuff?
Yes. Both of our locations have drive-up units. If you have a gun safe, a washer and dryer, or any heavy items, drive-up makes it way easier.
